Contractor in California since 1985; 16 years in the Lake Tahoe area.
California License #496100

Joe Culver learned the construction trade from his father building homes. While studying architecture at the University of Oregon, Joe was also framing new houses. He had his General Contractor’s License in Oregon by the time he was 19.

After spending a number of years in Maui working in the constructionindustry, Joe returned to the North Bay Area in the mid-1980s and got his California General Contractor’s License. His experience includes commercial as well as residential projects. This broad range of experience on many types of projects in a variety of climates has become Joe Culver’s best asset. He knows what works and what doesn’t.

Joe gives personal attention to every project he’s involved in. He does not, as they say, farm the work out. In Joe’s own words, “I’m a hands-on type of builder.”

“Joe Culver has done a wide variety of projects for me since 1994…. I have always found him to be extremely professional and courteous. He does careful, detailed work in a remarkably efficient manner. Joe has replaced decks, windows, siding, tile, and has also built a 1200 square foot custom addition that is the pride of the neighborhood in Tahoe Donner. My only regret is that my primary residence is too far away from Truckee for him to work on that property!”
